JuJu Palmer is a dancer, actor, singer, musician, and audiobook narrator based in the Midwest. With experience in theatre, commercials, and audiobooks, she has a knack for collaboration, creative play, and telling stories from the heart. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Oakland University and has performed in regional and international productions across Michigan, the Quad Cities, and at Hydrama in Greece.

JuJu is often cast as the quirky, comedic, upbeat character or the gentle ingénue. Some of her favorite roles include Wednesday Addams, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and Jennyanydots in Cats. She has also taught at fine arts summer camps and performing arts programs, offering instruction in voice, dance, and acting. Most recently, she taught tap at the Quad City Ballet Summer Intensive.

An avid reader, JuJu discovered a natural connection between her love of books and storytelling, which led her to pursue audiobook narration. She trained through The Great Audiobook Adventure under the instruction of Elise Arsenault. She is especially drawn to YA fantasy and coming-of-age stories, often voicing characters who yearn for adventure and self-discovery. With a youthful, energetic spirit, she brings stories of hope, love, and friendship to life. Her ability to act as a “human sound machine,” mimicking a wide range of noises, enhances her character work with playful and distinctive sound effects.

When she’s not recording in her booth or performing, JuJu enjoys reading, crafting, puzzling, scrapbooking, making tea, and embracing any “grandma-adjacent” activity. Though an introvert at heart, she cherishes time with friends and family–including her very important role as an aunt to two cats–loves traveling (especially to the beach), and plays drums in an indie-rock sister band.
